Bellarmine announces marquee nonconference schedule for men’s basketball

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – One year ago, the Bellarmine men’s basketball team played the fourth toughest non-conference schedule in the country according to the NCAA’s NCAA Network Rankings. This year, Bellarmine’s head coach Scott Davenport It might be goal #1 on that list.

Although a few more games will be added, Bellarmine University today announced a portion of its non-conference men’s basketball schedule that is once again filled with top-tier opponents and “Power 5.”

Bellarmine became the first team to play 1st, 2nd and 3rd competitors in November of last year, and the November 2022 schedule looks absolutely fantastic with road games planned for Louisville, Clemson, Duke, Loyola Marymount, UCLA and Kentucky. . The Knights will continue to face stiff competition in December with regular games against Miami (Ohio), Evansville and Murray State.

The season opener will be in town as the Knights travel to YUM! Center to face the Louisville Cardinals on Wednesday, November 9th. Bellarmine will then travel to Carolina on November 18 and 21 where they will face Clemson and Duke respectively. The post-Thanksgiving portion of the Knights in November could be the toughest as Bellarmine hits the West Coast for games at Loyola Marymount (November 25) and UCLA (November 27) before closing the month at the Rupp Arena against Kentucky on November 29. .

The riders enjoy the Miami Redhawks at Freedom Hall on December 17 and take a short ride down I-64 to face Evansville on December 21. The match against Murray State is not over yet but will be played at Freedom Hall.

Coach Davenport plans to announce several offline opponents in the near future. The ASUN Conference will reveal the 2022-23 league schedule on Thursday.
