Box Launches Technology Collaboration with FUJIFILM Business Innovation

Redwood City, California – (work wire) – Box, Inc. announced. (NYSE: BOX), the leading Content Cloud company, today announced a technology collaboration with FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corporation. Collaboration features improved integration of the DocuWorks functionality in Box, which allows previewing and searching of “DocuWorks documents (.xdw)” on Box.

In recent years, many companies have embraced digital transformation, enhancing different work styles and business efficiency, including remote work. In this environment, more than ever, business content must be safely viewed, searched, and shared anytime, anywhere, and on any device.

DocuWorks is owned by FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corporation, a document processing software used by a cumulative total of 8 million licenses in Japan and Asia Pacific. Prior to this improvement, DocuWorks documents had to be downloaded from Box to a computer with DocuWorks installed to view them. In addition, since only file name search was available, it took extra time to find the required content, which sometimes hampered efficiency.

With enhanced Box and DocuWorks integration, users will be able to store and save DocuWorks files in Box and preview within Box, including via mobile devices. Thus, paper documents are digitized using DocuWorks, and digital content is stored in Box. They can then be viewed, searched, and shared securely anytime, anywhere and on any device, dramatically reducing the time and effort required to manage and access critical business content. Content silos can be eliminated, and efficiency can be improved across the entire company. In addition, Box’s full suite of advanced security functions can be used to satisfy both convenience, efficiency and security, allowing users to focus on their work with peace of mind.

We have received approval from Toru Fujita, General Manager, Business Services Solutions, Enterprise Document Solutions Business Group, FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corporation for this announcement.
