Perlego Premium Cookies For Free 2022

Perlego is a library membership service that allows unrestricted access to over 700,000 textbooks and nonfiction publications in PDF format, dubbed “Spotify for textbooks” by the Evening Standard.

Gauthier Van Malderen and Matthew Davis, two former college students, founded the firm in 2016 because they were all too aware with the expensive pricing of textbooks and wanted to make them more accessible to everyone while also reducing the market for pirated books.

What Is Perlego and How Does It Work?

For a monthly charge, Perlego contracts with publishers to provide customers with unrestricted access to digital editions of their nonfiction books.

Over 3,000 publishing houses offer content to the organization, including prominent academic publishers such as Wiley, Pearson, and Bloomsbury.

The service is accessible via desktop and mobile devices, and books may be downloaded for offline reading. Perlego also provides a variety of study tools, which we’ll go over in the following part.

How many books does Perlego have?

Over 700,000 textbook PDFs are available in Perlego’s collection, with titles in English, Italian, Spanish, French, and German. From aeronautics to biology, they have over 950 themes and subtopics to choose from.

Perlego provides several best-selling nonfiction works in addition to standard textbooks, such as the ones listed below:

Features and Costs of Perlego

The following is a list of all the features included with a Perlego subscription:

  • Perlego’s collection features over 700,000 textbook PDF: as well as some top nonfiction volumes, giving you unlimited access to them. You may get unrestricted access to Perlego’s enormous library with a Perlego membership.
  • There are around 950 different subjects and subtopics to pick from: Perlego offers 24 primary themes (including architecture, law, health, and psychology) as well as over 900 subtopics for more specialized topics (such as agricultural law, forensics medicine, and animal psychology). The full list of subtopics may be seen here.
  • Read wherever you are: Perlego allows you to read on your smartphone, tablet, or computer, both online and offline. You may also change the text size, font, and illumination to customize your experience. Their iOS and Android apps are both available.
  • Study aids built-in: Students can make notes and highlight them, as well as search inside books for specific material or sections.
  • One-click referencing: This function makes research and writing essays easier by automatically producing citations for the book you’re reading. Create citations in the style you choose, then copy and paste them.

The most significant question now is how much a Perlego membership will cost you. There are two monthly and yearly options available on the platform:

  • The monthly package is $7.5 per month.
  • Annual subscription: $60($5/month)

Is Perlego available to students for free?

Perlego memberships aren’t free; they range from $12 to $18 per month, depending on the plan. You may, however, sign up for a 14-day free trial to evaluate if the service is right for you.

Is Perlego a Good Investment?

Given that the average cost of university textbooks is $1,240 per year, I believe that a Perlego membership is well worth the money, especially because a yearly plan is around 11% less.

In terms of their selection, I dug up some of my old college courses and looked through my textbooks. They only offered one of the six I tested, but to be honest, I did take some rather specialist International Relations courses a few years back.

Over 700,000 textbooks is a large number, and they cover a wide range of topics as well as highly specialized subtopics.

Check to See How Much Money You’ll Save

You may check Perlego’s library to see whether they have your necessary textbooks before joining up for a free trial, and even if they don’t, the monthly subscription could be well worth it, considering that a single new textbook can cost anywhere from $80 to $400 or more.

Overall, I believe Perlego is a great resource that I wish I had while I was in college, therefore current students should absolutely try it out for free.

Perlego Pros and Cons

  • It’s quite simple to locate books for essays, dissertations, and other academic projects.
  • You may read whatever you want, whenever you want, and as many times as you want, making it a far superior option to the university library.
  • Despite my initial inclination for print, the reading experience is really pleasant. It’s simple and straightforward to highlight and take notes.
  • I appreciate that I can save my reading in book-lists (My Library) so that I may have all of my bibliographies at my fingertips when I need it for essays.
  • The design and simplicity of use make it far more enjoyable to use than the platforms to which the library provides access (Ebsco for instance)
  • They don’t have every book, and I’ve heard from friends studying various areas that none of their titles were available. I’m guessing it’s because they’re new, therefore I’d recommend double-checking their selection before paying.
  • Books are not available for download. I’m used to the Netflix and Spotify models, however other individuals may wish to print out excerpts.
  • The only way to get a book is to go online. I’d like to be able to study throughout my commute to university; maybe, they’ll develop an app for that.
