Tilde Chosen as the Language Technology Partner by the Three Seas Initiative (3SI)

The Three Seas Summit and Annual Business Forum organized by the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) takes place from 20-21 June in Riga, Latvia. During the event, heads of state and business leaders from twelve 3SI countries along with strategic partners and international investors will discuss opportunities for cooperation, economic growth and various other topics. This year, information about the summit is available in all of the EU’s 24 official languages by Tilde Machine Translation technology, making it widely accessible across the continent.

The Three Seas Initiative (3SI) is a forum of 12 EU member states between the Baltic, Black and Adriatic Seas – Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. 3SI Summits are held annually at the presidential level with the aim of creating regional dialogue, discussing opportunities for cooperation to enhance economic growth, energy security and connectivity, as well as the geopolitical situation and other issues. It is estimated that the total necessary investment in infrastructure projects in the region this year will exceed 500 billion euros.

To make information about the Summit available to all Europeans, as of this year, the 3SI website is accessible in all 24 official EU languages. Newly added information is instantly translated into 24 languages using an AI-powered website translator developed by Tilde, a leading European language technology company. Moreover, visitors can now use Tilde Translation Platform to instantly translate text and documents in numerous formats (PDF, Word, JPG, PPT, etc.) with just one click without leaving the 3SI website. It is secure and GDPR compliant, and unlike most translation tools available online, no data is passed to any third party provider.

We are pleased to facilitate the flow of information across language boundaries in this politically and economically important European initiative. Since the EU Council Presidency Translator was developed by Tilda for Germany’s and seven other presidencies, our language technology has helped millions of people. AI-powered machine translation enables true European multilingualism in a fast and cost-effective way,” says Artūrs Vasiļevskis, Head of Language Technologies at Tilda.
